  NPDES Storm Water Program

The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) storm water program is a mandated program under the Clean Water Act, addressing sources of storm water discharge that adversely impact our waterways. State Regional Water Quality Control Board regulates the program compliance through various permits.

NPDES Permittees are requires to implement Best Management Practices designed to prevent harmful pollutants from being washed by storm water runoff into local water bodies. NPDES permit non-compliances can result in exposure to both Civil and Criminal liabilities.
